Disclaimer
The short version: none of this is real, and that's the point.
This is a fictional demonstration website by Parker Technology Solutions. “Pawnee,” its characters, and related elements are from Parks and Recreation © NBCUniversal. Not affiliated with NBCUniversal or with any real municipality. No actual government services are provided here.
What this site is
This website is a design and engineering demonstration built by Parker Technology Solutions to show what a modern, accessible, mobile-first municipal website can look like. The city depicted — Pawnee, Indiana — is the fictional setting of the NBC television series Parks and Recreation. All characters, departments, events, ordinances, and history presented here are fictional.
What this site is not
- It is not the website of any real municipality, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any real city government.
- It is not affiliated with or endorsed by NBCUniversal. Parks and Recreation and its characters are the property of NBCUniversal; they are referenced here as transformative parody in a non-commercial demonstration.
- No actual government services are provided. Payment flows, form submissions, and signups are demonstrations only — nothing you enter is stored or transmitted.
- All contact information is fictional. Phone numbers use the 555 exchange; the “pawneein.gov” domain is not real and email addresses are rendered as plain text by design.

- Character photographs are sourced from the Parks and Recreation Fandom wiki and are NBCUniversal copyright; a full manifest of sources is maintained in the project’s asset records.
- All other artwork (seal, murals, maps, monogram portraits) is original to this project.
