The Council formally recognizes the service of former Councilwoman Leslie Knope, whose tenure produced 34 pieces of legislation, one municipal merger, and the longest continuous floor speech in chamber history (recorded, bound, and available from the Clerk in three volumes). A commemorative plaque hangs outside the Chambers, spelled correctly on the second attempt.
