PAWNEE, Ind. — The planned cultural exchange visit from the delegation of Boraqua, Venezuela has been rescheduled for a fifth time, the Mayor's office announced Wednesday, citing 'logistics.'
Pawnee maintains active sister-city relationships with Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Krakow (Poland), and Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo). The city's relationship with Pyongyang remains formally suspended, as it has been since it was formally proposed and immediately suspended in the same 2013 council session.
The Mayor's office noted that all sister cities are welcome in Pawnee at any time, and that the welcome banner from the 2011 visit is 'still perfectly good and in storage.'
